sufficiently sufficient sufficiency

I read this verse yesterday in the amplified, I really liked the way the amplified translated it so I shall share it with all of you:

“13I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who [g]infuses inner strength into me; I am [h]self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]”

Phillipians 4:13 (AMP)

As my recent blogs have indicated I have really been struggling through loneliness. I have realized that loneliness is just the painful realization that I am not complete. My body is painfully aware that it is disconnected from it’s Creator, and that Creator’s creation. In this brief sentence Paul gives me a solution to my problem and really, all of our problems. Paul wasn’t saying that he was self-sufficient on his own, rather He was relying on the Christ completely. Christs’ sufficiency was all that Paul needed. That is why Paul was able to make statements in his other letters such as “I labor with all of Christ’s energy…” and etc. I want to be able to make the same statements that Paul made, I want to be able to say that I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.
